Academic integration and co-curricular credits
Fencing at SIWS is not just an extracurricular activity; it is seamlessly woven into our formal educational architecture. We proudly offer Fencing as a 2-credit official co-curricular course across our prominent degree tracks, including B.Com. (Accounting & Finance), B.Sc. (Data Science), and B.Sc. (Artificial Intelligence).
Structured Learning
Students attend 2 dedicated practical and theoretical lectures per week to master footwork, blade work, and competitive tactics.
Professional Certification
To maintain high safety and professional standards, participating students hold active memberships with government-approved fencing organizations.

Our campus hosts the dedicated SIWS Fencing Center at our multi-purpose sports complex located on Major R. Parameswaran Road in Wadala, Mumbai. To deliver top-tier, international-standard training, SIWS operates in exclusive collaboration with the renowned Elite Fencing Club.

Equipped with official electronic scoring pistes, safety gear, and specialized target equipment for all three weapon categories (Épée, Sabre, and Foil).

Historic University Triumph
Our SIWS Women’s Fencing Team recently made history by capturing 1st Place overall at the University of Mumbai Inter-Collegiate Fencing Championship. Led by the exceptional trio of Narmatha Ramakrishna Yadav, Anuja Vinod Lad, and Raksha, the team dominated the individual and team Épée and Sabre brackets. This absolute victory advanced our athletes to represent the University of Mumbai at the All India University Fencing Championship in Jammu—marking the college’s historic return to the pinnacle of national university stages after a 28-year hiatus.

A decorated national-level dynamic athlete who clinched the prestigious Individual Gold Medal in the Girls’ Épée category at the Khelo India Youth Games, representing the winning momentum of the campus on a grand national stage.
Narmatha Ramakrishna Yadav
A top-ranked junior and senior Épée fencer who earned the Silver Medal at the Senior State Fencing Championships and continues to stand strong in rankings governed by the Fencing Association of India.
